Advocating Equity in Health and Access To Mainstream Services For African & Caribbean Residents in Waltham Forest

In 2024 we delivered a series of health./cultural interventions along with local, and: national Collaborative partners to address health and social inequities experienced by: African, and Caribbean residents in Waltham Forest.

Our programme ran from 6 February 24 April 2024 and was very successful. Covering the following subjects Nutrition and Health 4 sessions, Drum Circle Connect: 3: sessions, Jonkonu Mask Making and Movement: 1 session. Health events (3) Health: Equity and Prevention part 1 and 2, Caring 4 Health.

A Big Thank You! To Residents who took part and gave valuable feedback that helped to secure an extension to funding for 2025. Also, our funder London Borough of: Waltham Forest, collaborative partners and volunteers it was truly groundbreaking.

Comment: “Tutor was very good and informative this is a good thing for this community which does not always get this sort of service care and well organised. Thanks to Joan and Sonia for organising these classes.”
